There is a significant amount of literature on cardiac changes in the critically ill human and canine patient, but is not considered often in the horse. This is an advanced session on these potential causes and the data we have in the horse and what might enable us to better quantify and diagnose and thus ultimately treat in the adult horse now and in the future.
